Hall Managers of Distinction
Boris naturally was our first choice. I first worked with him in Turner
Hill where he was the caretaker and Food and Beverage Manager. Between
Vinwood Catering, Turner Hill, and running his own 5 star restaurant in
Glouster, why would we pick any other first.
But life runs smoother with contingency plans so our next pick would
be Eileen Parks. I remember her when she was putting in a bid to buy Stillington
Hall in Magnolia. At the time she was the hall manager when Peter Croft
Busswell past on leaving his estate to public auction. She related the
stories of Mr. Busswell lighting up the quarry behind his house and serving
hot chocolate to neighborhood skaters and how she would love to bring
that tradition back. Unfortunately, it has been a long time since anyone
had hot chocolate down on the quarry. Everyone deserves a second shot,
She can serve hot chocolate and much more to our community at the pond
on our property, anytime!
Then we have Waltham Pocket. I have worked with him over the years whenever
our clients brought us to the Codman House in Lincoln. His demeanour and
air of sophistication and kindness will add a hint of warmth and brightness
to our properties. Like an old Waltham it keeps you on time, runs smooth,
and is always a comfort. Waltham would be also an intelligent choice.
Our other choice is Everett Strauss. He has managed The Foundation Lounge
that resides at the Commonwealth Hotel in Kendall Square and also the
restaurant 33 in the Back Bay. He is now a district manager for Legal
Seafood. I have known him since he was little when he gawked at my shoe
size, but he has surpassed me in that department. As the nickname big
foot has left me and gone onto him, he will need it to fill the big shoes
I need filled in the role of Hall Manager.
